History of the Club
The Cultus Lake - Chilliwack 'Stingrays' summer swim club has been providing swimming programs to youth in the Chilliwack, Sardis and the Cultus Lake area since the early 1950's. We are proud to be one of the founding Clubs of the Summer Swim program in the province of B.C.!!
The Club originally trained in Cultus Lake, where the annual swim of the 'Length of the lake' was always a big event. When the outdoor Rotary Pool was built in 1967, we moved the club and have been training there ever since.
We continue to be a family-oriented club and always welcome new members. We offer a full training program for Competitive swimmers as well as a program for Non-Competitive swimmers simply wanting an introduction to basic swim stroke techniques, speed swimming, and endurance training.
The focus of our club is to provided competitive swimming for local youth under the umbrella of the British Columbia Summer Swimming Association (BCSSA) Fitness, coached practices and a team atmosphere help to improve both endurance and skills.
We are proudly sponsored by the Chilliwack Bingo.
There countinous support is very appreciated.
